History
Govt. Associate College for Women Mirhan (Layyah) was instaurated in 2012. Mr. Noor Mehboob Malwana (a political personality of this area) allocated his private land of 32 canals for the construction of this college. Mr. Mahar Ejaz Ahmad Achalana ( the founding MPA of the college) played pivotal role in the construction of college in this backward area. The area consists of union council Mirhan and some villages at main MM road in district Layyah.
Prof. Rao Muhammad Afzal (the project director of the college) was given the initial charge of the college from 1st july 2012 to 10th November 2012. At that time he was serving as a principal of Govt. Graduate College for Boys Chowk Azam. Then the charge was transferred to Mrs. Sajida Shabir (Principal of Govt. College for Women Chowk Azam) from 11th November 2012 to 10th May 2013. Mrs. Bushra Naz has been performing the duties of principal since 11 May 2013.
College has been providing the best results since its inception and won medals and prizes in different co-curricular activities at district and divisional level. Full attention is given to curricular and cow curricular activities in the college.
